Nervous About Life After College
In the survey that I posted on Saturday, I asked college students and recent graduates what makes them nervous about life after college graduation. I got some great responses and have also thought of a few of my own. So here’s the list of what makes college students nervous about life after college graduation.
- The economy and the strain it will have on the job market
- Paying off student loans while still affording housing, food, etc.
- Getting into a good grad school
- Being able to afford going to grad school out of state
- Getting a job
- Maintaining friendships outside of college
- Making new friends and adjusting to a new social environment
- Paying for rent, bills, groceries and more
- Not living with friends
- Creating a budget
- Finding a job with a good salary and benefits
- Deciding what to do as a career
- Working full-time
- Finding a place to live
- Saving money
Please comment if you have anything else to add to the list!
Based on this list, I plan to add resource sections for the following categories: career, personal finance, life and grad school. Let me know if you have suggestions for what to include for each of these categories.
